Bits and Bobs is my monthly update featuring personal tidbits and writing news.
Bits and Bobs for March…
I’ve been hard at work in Writersville, putting finishing touches on various book projects. Visions, my free romance novel, is currently in soft launch and will be released officially in a couple weeks. Even just in soft launch, the book is about to crack the top 100 on Amazon for contemporary fiction/romance!
I’m reading a couple good books at the moment (because I can’t ever read one at a time, it seems). I Am Number Four by Pittacus Lore, since I was a fan of the movie a while back, and The Wild Wood by Julie Anne Nelson. Both are YA, which I read a fair bit of. I also just sprung for Amazon Prime, and no sooner had I done it than I got hooked on the Vikings TV show. So hooked that I’m already almost finished, sigh. I also finally saw Ex Machina, an intriguing tale of a robot girl and the computer genius who falls for her.
The biggest news this month, however, is on the home front. After much waiting and hoping, our family adopted a charming rescue pup named Tina. She’s a doxle (beagle-dachshund mix) who loves snuggles and bonded with us instantly. Love at first sight all around! She’s kept us busy playing, chasing, and puppy nuzzling. Isn’t she adorable?
Pop Sugar Reading Challenge Progress:
Once again I didn’t read as much as I wanted, largely because I was so busy reading through my own manuscripts! Alas, if only those counted toward the challenge, as well as puppy care manuals! Still, I got another 3 checked off, for a total of 9 out of 40.
[x] A book with a red spine (I Am Legend by Richard Matheson)
[x] A book involving travel (The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware)
[x] A book with career advice (77 Good Habits to Live a Better Life by S.J. Scott)
How’d your month go? Read, watch, or do anything intriguing?
